Ruger customer service
« on: September 29, 2015, 02:07:25 PM »
Ruger must offer excellent customer service.   I called them about a 20 year old MK2 Government Model I have that has a front sight that's slightly clocked from the day I bought it.  Ruger says they will fix it for free.

Since my eyes aren't young any longer I may have to get it drilled for a scope sight.

Yeah, I know I'm slow about getting something repaired.

Bill Ruger used to say that their guns didn’t need a warranty because his name was on every one of them.  They have always stood up to that in my experience.

They have re-stocked my original M77 multiple times. Always no charge, no hassle.

Nice to hear positive customer service experiences; so many nowadays from a variety of other brands seem to be poor.  Thanks for posting!

Ruger customer service impressed me when I called them yesterday.   Today was the visit to FedEx to ship my pistol out.  Next day Air was my only choice...... $96.75..... ouch.

They have always been easy to deal with. Had them fix my old LCP for recall and send me new lever latch pins for a #1. Irritating I had to deal with them in the first place but at least they were prompt and pleasant.

I just called Ruger as well last week, I had to send in my Mark II for work.  They stated they could offer me a shipping label for $30.00 if the ones I found myself were over that.  Went to Fed Ex and UPS and their lowest quote was $85.00.  So I called Ruger back up and they emailed me a label and I sent them a check with the pistol.

They told me since it was over two years old I had to cover shipping costs to the factory.
