Sturgeon Derby Sponsored by Joes 7 March
« on: January 20, 2009, 11:13:44 PM »
The annual Joe's Sturgeon Derby is slated for 7 March 09, it is basically three man team sign ups.  Cost is $85 per team member.  Three shotgun starts that morning so sign up is important to be quick and get signed up. $25,00 mystery weight, $10K top prize per individual fish and and then again in team collective fish . Raffle for drift boat and tons of other prizes.  The night before - meet and greet with NFL, NBA and MLB pros and a no host bar and dinner after the tourney with awards ceremony...  You must register at Joe's, then they fax your application to the Portland store.  As of today they said it is close to being closed, so get your applications in asap...  We are ready to get into the competition: myself, Hoyt and Pope...  Practice starts soon...

I'm not doing the derby but I am willing to help you locate the fish before hand, let me know when you plan on going down.
