My son drew the Yakima North Youth cow permit(336,340,342,346) which we will be hunting 11/10-11/15. I had all intentions to hunt Umtanum as I know that area best but from the reports I have been getting back from friends in the area - I am not so sure. Sounds like the elk have not yet began to move down from the snow. With that being said; I am thinking more along the lines of Little Naches but know nothing of the area. I would appreciate any suggestions from people who know the area. I am a seasoned elk hunter and we are not afraid to put the miles on the boots. Thanks in advance.
