That's where I was going to go next year. You aren't going to get a ton of info on here, the guys who do it every year successfully keep pretty quiet. Everyone has their secret spot. My advice is get as much scouting in as you can in the summer. Hopefully there aren't too many fires this summer, cause that would definitely be a factor to consider when trying to scout.

If you're serious about having an opportunity to fill your tag then this is not your unit.  If you simply want a backcountry hunting experience and test your bushwhacking skills then it's just the ticket.  Search some past posts.  This topic comes up several times a year it seems.  I and others have provided some advice on the area.

this is the second time Sraud has started a post soliciting advice about this. He posted almost a year ago exactly asking the same question..... Just my observation ;)

So it's a no go? Even if you get into the deeper parts away from the crowds?

I'm not allowed to ask for advice about the high hunt on a hunting forum? If it bothers you then ignore it ?
