Thank You!!
« on: November 11, 2015, 02:06:35 PM »
I wanted to start off by saying there are great people on Hunt WA! There are some real kind and genuine sportsmen out there. It started by my brother and I drawing bull tags. We had a terrible early summer with news about my brother. He did not end up hunting this year but he will be next year and hope he draws another bull tag. A member on Hunt Wa jumped at the chance to help me and my brother out with some spots to checkout. I called him and spoke to him about the hunt and what to expect etc. I really appreciated all the information the members on here gave me. Members sent me messages about where to look for these majestic (hard to find) animals. I hunted hard for the first week and saw elk everyday and had a couple of really cool encounters with some bulls, but was not able to get a crack at any of them. I am somewhat of a rookie elk hunter. As it goes with life, I headed home to dri my stuff out and regroup. I took care of some work and family stuff (I have to small kids) and went back at it on the last day of the season. I left Spokane at 1:30 am drove straight there and met a Hunt Wa member to give it a hail mary last day shot at a bull. The extra help was much appreciated as I had exhausted my other buddies on the previous hunts. I was unable to fill my tag but I am very grateful for the opportunity. I want to thank Coachcw, RT, Pilot_Hunter, Naches Sportsman, and WATimberghost for your help!! Though I did not put one on the ground, I feel great about the hunt. I did what I could with the circumstances given. My hunt would not have been what it was without these guys!! I hope someday I can to repay the favors that they have given me. I am now off to East Okanogan for a late whitetail hunt! Thanks again!! Good Luck to all!!

Yes!! Very nice story. I have one about exactly as you wrote it this year. Most folks on huntwa are the best kind of people.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!
