The only time I take my Patternmaster out is to put a IC in for quail etc.

I have Kicks High Flyers and Patternmaster code black in my other shotgun!
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

fowler, how do your kicks fit your gun? I picked one up last week and am not happy with the fit. It doesn't shoulder up to the end of there barrel on my SX3. There is almost a 1/16" gap between the end of the barrel and the larger diameter part of the choke. I've had a gobblin thunder for years and it screws down tight to the end of the barrel.

Just a cosmetics thing!  That's how they are made!  Probably provides extra room for tolerance variations. As long as it is tight the slight gap does not effect performance.  I just fill it with Nikal Anti-seize.

www.choketube.com

www.trulockchokes.com

Depends on the Stoeger model, but most take Invector (not Invector Plus) choke tubes; both websites have interchange charts.

pattern your gun before you start dumping money on aftermarket chokes.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

:yeah:
Not all shells work well in all guns/chokes.
Black cloud is low and to the left at 30 yds with my Mod choke, most other stuff is pretty decent.
And you can wear a choke tube out, either that or I got a bad one.
I thought it was plastic wad material and soaked the choke in Carlson's Choke tube cleaner, didn't change a thing so I picked at it with a scribe and the chrome was peeling away.
Berretta Optima plus choke tube, all factory shells through it.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

You don't need a fancy choke to kill a duck, if you are not happy with the modified try a factory improved cylinder. All you need to kill a duck that is in range.
