Ever had an issue with Kirkland batteries in the cold?

Went to check my camera a couple of times in colder weather and it didn't seem to operate properly. Back home in a warm house, it worked flawlessly. I put new batteries (Kirkland/Costco) this summer. I'm hoping it's the batteries and will try some Duracells again (they've held up for months in the past). Anybody have similar experience with Kirkland or other budget batteries?

I think you will find that Batteries are recommended to keep in the fridge. Maybe that's why they aren't working for you. It increases the shelf life.

I use Kirkland batteries and have never had issues.

I use Kirkland batteries too but the cold weather really drains alkaline batteries fast, no matter what brand they are.

For really cold weather, you should be using lithium batteries.

I'm hoping it's a battery issue and not a camera issue.

It sound like it's a battery problem the cold stops the flow of electrons in alkaline batteries. You can switch to lithium or find away to insulates the camera.

Trying to insulate a camera that has no internal heat source is an effort in futility.

Last batch of Kirkland AA batteries, all leaked in everything I put them in Went back to the ole copper tops!   No more problems.

I only put lithium batteries in my trail cameras.

I Had them in my foxpro scorpion and the dang things leaked all over the inside. They were only a couple months old.
Costco paid to fix it though. Went back to copper tops also and havent had a problem in my bushnell trailcams and i leave them
out all winter long, 6 month stretch and they still work good when i pull the cameras to rest them.

I've been using Kirkland batteries forever, and I go through a lot, mostly in trail cams. NEVER had one leak. Not doubting it happened, but just wanted to give another perspective.

I had a set of Kirkland in a covert all winter last year and was still running in the Spring, over 8000 pictures on the batteries on a wind blown southern slope at 6000 feet, lots of snowmobile pictures when i checked it in the Spring. I left the batteries in it and were still fine mid Summer, won't be back till this Spring. We will see if they last.
