Submitting multi season apps
« on: December 26, 2015, 06:20:24 PM »
Usually you have to buy and then submit the special permit applications. I bought the multi season deer permit app then went to submit it and it said I don't have any applications to submit. Is it different for the multi season permits?

You don't have to submit it unless you want to partner with someone else, or if you want to apply for only the point option.

However I'm not sure why it's not letting you submit it.

Did you select 2016?

Ok roger. As long as I don't have to submit it its all good I just don't want to miss out on getting in the drawing, and I'm applying by myself.

Jan 1 is when you can submit if you want something other than individual.

What are the dates they allow for submitting the multi season tag? I thought in the past it started Dec. 31st. I wI'll double check, but that may be why you're unable to submit currently. ?

You can submit them now.  I did it today and it worked fine.  Now, I just need to draw!

Last years's multi-season elk odds. You needed at least 7 points to have a 50/50 chance.

Points   Applications   Selected   %
9   6   4   66.67%
8   26   14   53.85%
7   119   67   56.30%
6   283   107   37.81%
5   664   220   33.13%
4   934   195   20.88%
3   1538   190   12.35%
2   2274   111   4.88%
1   3507   53   1.51%

Should've tried to convince him to do a group application with you.

This year could be pretty dismal, huh Bob?
3507-53=3454, 2274-111=2163,1538-190=1348.....for 2, 3, 4 points for 2016.  (assuming everyone that put in last year puts in this year and no dormant points being reactivated).  Probably put avg draw odds near 9 pts for this year.

Last year there was a surplus of tags leftover, that you could purchase over the counter. So, if for some reason you don't get drawn, there is still the chance to buy one later. God luck!! :)

I had the chance at buying the leftover elk tag but didn't want it if I couldn't put in for special permits with it. I did buy a leftover deer multi tag though. To me one of the biggest advantages is being able to put in for a special permit tag and if you don't draw you can still go archery or a different weapon. I wish everyone could put in for permits before choosing which weapon choice they had to hunt with for the year after the draw was done and decide from there.
