Wow, I was wondering what the connection was also.

Nice to see that the Tulalip tribal enforcement officer was also arrested for poaching.  Makes you wonder just how big this problem is.

It's too bad they don't prosecute Indians for poaching deer and elk like they do for poaching shellfish.

Uh, there is a big difference between deer, elk and shellfish you know.  Nobody cares about deer and elk, there is no commercial value.  Just read Operation Cody.  :chuckle: I think in the book Cenci was quoted as saying "Nobody gives a ______ about deer and elk."

I am with you for sure, just as frustrated as you are.  :bash:

Yes, I know. I read Operation Cody and that's how I know, even when they have evidence of deer and elk poaching by Indians, they won't do a thing about it.

 I thought you had, that was more for those that haven't.  It is a great/sickening read for sure and he didn't really touch on the tribal side of it all.

Were those 1000 crabs even of the legal size? How many limits of crab was that?  And how much could they increase the limits if these guys weren't raping the bay?

Can you show me where it says the officer was arrested? All the officers they have are all still working...

He was referring to this, not an officer. Arrested in Aug 2015
Joseph Hatch Sr, the director of the Tulalip Tribes' Fish & Wildlife unit.

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Sure can. The last paragraph.........

"The man whose job it was to oversee the Tulalip tribes fishery was arrested in August. Joe Hatch and his son were charged in tribal court with poaching and trafficking shellfish."

Yet in that paragraph it says nothing about a enforcement officer.......
Joe Hatch was a director that set regs not a enforcement officer
