Yesterday afternoon my daughter and I cut some monster tracks in the snow, followed them for about a mile before we caught up with a really nice 4X5 then after another mile of cat and mouse through the brush and timber he gave us the slip by jumping a creek that was far too swollen for us to cross.   :bash:  Wound up getting back to the rig about an hour after dark.  He seemed to be on a mission to head towards a lower elevation.

what do you call this one? 2x3? 3x4? 3x5?

A trashy fork. Nice one too.

I got screwed out of this buck...watched him for over an hour waiting for a clean shot and someone else spooked him and decided to throw some lead his way  :bash:

(My buddy took the pic through the spotter while I closed the distance)

He'll be bigger next year Tom. Then you'll be glad you didn't get him this year.

im not sure i might have hit low im zeroed at 200 and it was only a 80 yard shot ....still sucks never have had a deer go more then 50 yards really hard to swallow that one just gonna be cougar dinner atleast he got to breed
Depending on caliber you should be within 1.5-2 of point of aim.
