Trail camera phone adapter
« on: January 31, 2016, 07:05:32 PM »
I saw a Sims card reader that plugs into your cell phone on bass pro shop website.  I was just wondering if anyone has tried one yet.  They look really handy because they are small and light weight. Just wasn't sure how fast pictures would down load or show up on my phone.

Sounds pretty cool

Ya I was hoping someone  has tried it. It looks cool but it might be one of those worthless gimmicks. I may just have to buy one and try it.

I bought one from cabela's. It only works with Samsung phone. Good thing I kept my galaxy 5 when I switched to an iPhone. It works great for me but I wish Apple had one for the iPhone

I have used a card reader with my Samsung S5.  If you are only viewing 20 photos, it works pretty slick.  If you were looking at hundreds of photos, it might be a little cumbersome.  It wasn't all that slow, but it's that easy to work through multiple galleries and view every photo like it would be on a tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

That sounds good I have a Samsung Galaxy 6.  I'll probably be getting one then.

I bought one for $5 from amazon.  Think I have the Transcend RDP9 Smart reader.

Works with my android, micro USB, but I have to use ES File Explorer to transfer photos.

No complaints about speed, and beats lugging my laptop through the woods.

Bought one that didn't work with my android phone.  My phone would have had to be jailbroke or whatever the term is, voiding my warranty and all that good stuff.
