Labor Day Toad Walleyes
« on: September 03, 2007, 08:23:07 PM »
My partner and I caught 2 10-11 lb walleyes, 1 8 lber and a few 5-6ers yesterday, lost another 10 at the boat.  All released, excellent day, only bad part of the day was when we ran out of beer at 2 pm.

WOW, those eyes are PIGS!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

I'm also from MN, and have lived here for  5 1/2 yrs.  There are much bigger walleyes out here compared to back home in MN.  The walleye fishing is just as good, if not better than MN.  Only problem is their are fewer bodies of water with them in here in WA.

When I found out I was moving out here, I did a lot of web surfing on the hunting and fishing out here.  I did read lots of articles on the size of the walleyes in the Columbia River, etc.  I know Banks Lake is supposed to be a good 'eye lake.  Are there any other lakes closer to Spokane that produce walleyes?   Thanks

The only other ones I can think of are Moses Lake and Potholes.

sprague lake did have walleys until today i think...if i remmeber correctly, they rehabbed the lake today and will not be re-stocking walleye in it, but they werelittle ones, most caught did not reach the minimum slot limit size as i understand after talking to some guys that fish it.
moses, potholes, banks, columbia river, and a few small lakes here and there have them, but those are the big ones...
you can check washingtonlakesdotcom for some info too.
