I just sent in Utah elk, moose and starting this year deer with a change to their regs.  May have a chance at an  elk tag there according to there drawing statistics, I have quite a few points.

Montana combo is next and then wyoming points only elk and deer and colorado points only on deer and elk as well.

I am thinking about looking into Iowa whitetail as well.

Oh and washington of course but I have never drawn anything here.

I'm not applying to AZ or UT- Points Only for WY Goats/Mulies/Elk.

Also on my app list:
CO Mulies
MT Deer/Elk Combo
NM Deer/Elk ... considering sheep and goats but I need to check the new app rules first.

...and of course all bigs in WA sans bear.

I haven't made the leap to the states that don't refund the liscense fee.... I'm taking the shotgun approach to the cheap states and building points where I can.

Have fun building points for goat in Wyoming considering they don't have goat points LOL.  Otherwise sounds like a pretty good plan.  I wasn't aware that NM had goats.

Hmmm... I thought NM and WY were the best states in the west for goats....  :dunno:  I mean, with all that flat, wide open prarie land..... where did all the SPEED goats go???? :chuckle:  Sorry Shane- couldn't resist.  My grandpa always called antelope prarie goats, speed goats, but most of the time just 'goats'.

BC - so... just curious... how often do you draw even 1 tag per year?  I mean you must be dropping a grand or more on nonrefundable liscenses in 5 of those states, and paying tag fees in accross the board... is it worth it?
