Went hunting this morning. Got a couple different birds to answer, but one was with a hen and the other was standing about 400+ yards away in an open field and was not going to budge. I played hard to get with him, he would gobble every time I clucked or yelped. I finally stopped talking and then it began to sprinkle. He gobbled about 5 more times and you could see he was waiting for a response. Finally he sloooowly started to head in my direction. 50 minutes later he peeked up over a small hill about 35 yards away. I hadn't been able to see him for about 35 minutes. He put his head down and I raised the gun. When he looked back over I could see about 8 inches of his head and neck and boom! 22.4 pounds, 10 inch beard and 1 inch spurs.

Nice going, Fred. Now finish your slam with a hog tonight and you can have a pigurkey for dinner tomorrow!

Nice bird. Don't you just love when curiosity gets the better of them.
