Always a tough decision for a conscientious hunter. But I admit if I had the points, I'd be in the burns.

There are still some good units that weren't too impacted by the fires and winter kill.  I'm all in.

I am still undecided. I don't put in for ms deer or elk because I spend the majority of my time and money out of state. With that said, my toughest decision is what weapon to declare. Archery options are limited for quality deer and if drawn, it would still be a tough hunt with not great odds of killing a "quality" buck. If not drawn, at least I would still have the opportunity to kill a doe. If I went rifle, it would be opposite.

If it was before the deadline I would be saying your crazy to apply with the success of last year and winter kill! Now that it's after the deadline, if I draw i will be in the burns!

I can't ever seem to draw a quality deer tag so I just put in as normal.

Holding on. I have 8 points. My dad has 27... first year he's never put in

I need to change my vote but that's not an option. I ended up putting in as always. With my 4 points and my partner's 6, we're in with 5, for a first choice with 1 in 50 odds and a second choice with 1 in 25 odds.

Put in as usual, luckily my area saw little to no impact from fires. Possibly benefitting if any migrated out of fire areas into my area?

I'm not sure why I did it or that I can believe I actually did do it, but I applied for a blacktail quality permit. 

As did I. 8 points should get it done. Tired of waiting for a east side tag. Blacktails are cooler than muleys anyway.
