Boomers Revenge...
« on: February 02, 2009, 07:31:24 PM »
So a couple of weeks ago I let my dog Boomer out to piss and he got into a pretty good tiff with one of the local raccoons that frequent my back porch. He only ended up with a couple light scratches on his front legs, but I still took him to the vet to make sure he was current on his shots. Anyway, I look out tonight and the same two coons that have been tormenting my animals were helping themselves to my cats food. I slipped out the side door with my BPS 12 gauge. One of em gets to see another day, the other wasn't too fortunate. First kill for 09. Oh, and the starlings have been showing up too, so hopefully more notches in my belt by the end of the week :chuckle:

No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.

Been doing some revenge myself.   I also took the step of discouraging raccoons by building a "Raccoon Proof" cat door to keep the food out of their way.

Raccoons cannot jump...or scale up sheet metal

Ive tried live traps, they always manage to elude them though. Tricky suckers. I was always managing to catch the neighbors cat though :chuckle: There is no out smarting the ol 12 gauge :chuckle:

Thanks! He's my big baby. He's almost 7 now. His muzzle used to be jet black, then immediately got gray when our son was born.
