I've been using the Trimble GPS Hunt/fish application for all of my hunting and hiking. Great program, with downloadable maps, for remote use on your phone or tablet. Great to plan and track any type of outdoor activity. It uses USGS topo maps, as well as Google Earth and other overlays. This used to be the cabelas mapping program as well. They are closing down this app near the end of the year. I was hoping others could advise on what they are using. I have used Onxmaps a little, but it's not quite to the level of GPS hunt/fish. Earthmate looks to be similar, but I haven't used it.

What mapping program you do use for your phone/computer, and is downloadable? Need to be able to use it without a cell phone connection.

Trimble good.
Onyx bad.
