Tough choice! Since the draw results will likely be out in the morning maybe you should wait until then to choose. Draw your bull tag, take the deer incentive, no draw you're still hunting bulls. It's hard not to hate you!  :chuckle: Enjoy!

No brainer dude, take the deer tag and go chase down a giant mule deer!  Thats an opportunity most could only dream of!

I'm all about the muleys, but I'd personally without a doubt, take the westside bull tag. Never a better chance to bag a book roosey. :twocents:

The thought never even crossed my mind.  I can buy a tag in multiple western states and chase bugling bulls, many of which have better trophy potential.  Not very often you can hunt the whole month of November basically, in Washingtons premier units.  180-200" is a very doable thing with that tag. :twocents:

I will say though, to me, an elk is an elk.  Don't care if its rocky or rosie, or any other sub species, so for a rosie guy, this would be a great opportunity

Good thought.....   but when else could you chase Roosevelt bulls during the rut with your rifle?

You can always chase Muley bucks during the rut with your rifle in Montana.

I wish I had this terrible choice to make.......

No kidding right! :chuckle:

Its true you can hunt otc in places like Montana, but montana doesn't have even close to the top end trophy potential as North Central Washington.  But like I said before, I'm not a rosie guy :sry:

For $3500 I can hunt muleys DIY on public land well into the 180"s range up to 200"+ with some luck. I don't know anywhere I can even hunt rooseys with a rifle during the rut, let alone in nearly every gmu. :dunno:

I have til the 14th to decide. My love is chasing Rocky Mt elk in Idaho duringduring the rut with my bow but also love hunting mulies with my rifle or bow. I have never hunted rosies but am gonna have a hard time passing up the tag. Hopefully I draw a 328 archery tag for elk. Might make my decision easier.

I'd have to go with the deer tag. There aren't many places left to hunt elk on the west side anymore, and most areas they have hoof rot. I just feel the deer tag would give you a much better opportunity and a more enjoyable hunt.
