Meat locker North Spokane
« on: July 22, 2016, 02:46:33 PM »
Headed over to Mt Spokane North for my kids cow moose tag in October.  Anyone know of a locker in the area?  I dont want it cut and wrapped, just cooled down for a day before 6 hour trip home. Thanks!

Try Crown Foods on Northwest Boulevard.

They will only store meat if you are paying to have it butchered.

There are no pay for storage meat lockers in the Spokane area.

I wouldn't think you'd really need a meat cooler. I'd just put it on Ice in coolers and head for home. Get it cooled and you'll be fine

Meat, salt, and ice in layers.  Open the drain on your ice chests.  Replenish the ice every day and it is great for a week.   :twocents:

How do you use the salt?  Going to be coming back from CO and NM this year and I'm looking to dial in a return with meat plan.

I just lay a layer of ice, then meat, then shake salt on and repeat.  Makes the best burger meat.  You may want to do something different with steaks though.
