H20's 3rd Annual "Who needs to go crabbing?" thread. BOOKED

All set to go. Rockfish thawing in the garage, ill head out after work and drop a few to soak overnight, should be smooth sailing in the morning. Carl, also known as Carl, has agreed to come along as a deckhand. Maybe we even let him take home a few!

Maybe?      But...I'm bringing you beer!

Oh man am i glad i set pots tonight. Bro and i ran to drop them for tomorrow.  Quick out and back. Not bad water, sun was out, beautiful evening. Coming up to Hat and i spotva gray surfacing 100 yards out. Can hear it blow from that far. I back it down and stay the course. It comes towards us so i go to idle so we watch. It goes by and i start prepping a pot....boooosh right off the bow, 20 feet, it comes up and gently rolls on the surface, back coming out. Scared me half to death. It cane up a few more times and we watched it go. Wow. Set the pots, kept our eyes out and putted back in.

   Should I bring the .50 cal?   

I'm definitely bringing my camera.

We hooked up with Goldeneye at the dock to share the bounty, and I asked if he would take a group picture for us.  Devin, Carl, and I grabbed some crab, and set up a goofy pose, but Goldeneye must have pushed the wrong button on my camera, because they did not come out.      It would have been a HuntWa classic!

Well, we obviously have no choice but to reproduce the experience and give goldeneye another chance.

Was a bit short on time afterwards so boat and all we went mattress shopping. Ripped butt on my shorts, wet feet, tired dog... hey my credit is good and im a buyer so they said cmon in! Was a great morning, very happy to have gone out.
