Look really nice. Do they stink?

Not at all, smells like leather.

Those are awesome.  You'll have to share some of the items you make up.

Will do!
Boy, if you ever feel like selling a few of them let me know! @JoDakota

I'll see how many I have left when I get my projects done.  I'll never throw another tail away.  Too easy to make some very nice and unique leather.

Sorry guys, I'm not selling anything.  I did this batch of tails in four colors: Cognac, Peanut Brittle, Walnut and Burgundy.  If you check out their website you can see the different colors.  From now on I will get all my beaver tails tanned and if guys are interested I will have them tanned and dyed at whatever color they want.  I will make some leather projects for family and friends and IF I can do a professionally enough job I may make some items and put them up for sale next year.  But only if I can create a good product.

Got the wallet done in time for my old boss' retirement ceremony.  I think he'll like it!

No, I'd like to but can't swing it right now.  No one else is coming that I'm aware of.  I'm checking to see if they are going to VTC it.

I've heard you have to watch which way the 'scales' on the beaver wallet are oriented or the wallet tends to creep out of the owners pocket every time he moves.  The wallet I bought has the scales going sideways.

Since you would be hard pressed to find a beaver tail that is 8 inches wide I would imagine almost all of them are sideways, unless they used two tails and sewed them together in the middle.

I had specialty leathers tan a bunch for me also. Turned out really nice, my daughter is making my wife a purse. Randy Shuff over on T Man made a beaver tail wallet for me about 6 years ago, it still looks great.
