"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

shoot I wish!  I did NOTHING outdoor related this weekend.  It was Leavenworth with the wife yesterday, so too much food and too much beer and then today was yard work.  I did shoot my bow both days though

Well not much to report lately.   I'm officially sick of waiting.  I'm tired of shooting, tired of conditioning, and tired of prepping.  Practice is cool, but I'm ready for game day.  I feel like a racehorse at the starting line!  I just wanna go!

Tomorrow will be the last backpack thursday as next Thursday is the first, so buglebuster and I will be in the dove fields with the kids doing some wing shooting!  This was opening day last season.  We will have all four kids this year :IBCOOL:

I did modify the old freedom arrows a bit.  Been shooting th luminoks since last season, but let's be real, besides a snug fit, they suck :chuckle:  these are the Nock out lighted nocks from clean shot archery.  Little issue at the beginning with some bad (old ) bushings, but they resolved that issue asap and they are fully operational.  Pretty cool too.  Super easy to turn on and off.  They light EVERY time, and they also have a practice mode so you don't burn up the battery.  Didn't have a ton of time to shoot the other night but did a quick one shot then RUN and get my arrow, then shoot another one shot, etc.  One arrow at 60, 70, 80 ,90, and 97 and all hit true.  I'm definitely feeling tuned up and ready.  This was the 97 yard shot.  Aiming center mass, because I can't see those  ircles very well anymore :chuckle: :bash:

Was doing some of that high heart rate shooting lately. I'd be pretty pumped to hit a nearly 100 yd shot like that.
That looks totally dialed in.

I always found a little diversion or time away right before a  huge race paid off well. Getting burned out was never much fun....take some time away so you can recharge that hunger.

Looking forward to hearing more in the weeks to come.....great looking crew of kids btw!
