6 pt bull in back of truck in Orting
« on: July 15, 2016, 05:35:24 AM »
Guys had a big velvet bull in the back of their truck this morning next to the big field on the left outside of town going towards Buckley with a cop behind them pulled over. Anyone know anything about this? Road kill or poached? I don't see any blood in the road

Just saw this on Facebook. Was shared to one of the local hunting groups.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Now therefore, please take your weapons, your quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me

You don't think a bunch of toothless hillbillys will take their beat up delapitated trucks out run over deer and elk on purpose do ya :dunno: will they keep track of the ones who get salvage permits? Cause I am betting if you 20 salvage permits something hinky is probably up??

Cool thanks for the info man! Just seems odd to me that big bull was in the road usually the elk stay in the tree line or just inside the field I never see them as far out as this and let alone a big bull they are wiser.

A couple families back in Wisconsin did just that... I was in a vehicle that had hit a deer and the first vehicle to pull up to us were two brothers in a beater truck with a brush guard. They asked for the deer we hit (seriously mangled up) and told us they trying to find a deer to hit. Family was pretty poor. I think they poached a little when they could. Nobody minded though.
