Found this pic on another site, said these bucks are from the Methow Valley in the 1930's. Taken by some guys who lived in/near Standwood, WA.

Very cool!

There are a good number of old Washington hunting pics on the UW historical website. Here are a few of them...

No name on the woman climbing the mountain but others are as follows:

Pic 1: Roy and Victor Denny, Chelan County, circa 1900
Pic 2: Chelan County, 1906
Pic 3: Unidentified woman (Man, talk about one tough chick!)
Pic 4: Victor Denny and Lawerance Lindsley, Glacier Peak, 1901

I too LOVE these old hunting photos! I have spent many hours going through the UW archives. These are just a few and since they had names attached I thought I'd post them in case anyone here is actually related to these guys.

PACNWHunter, here is the link to the digital archives. Just type in what you are searching for and hit enter.

There is a LOT of cool stuff here....again, I have spent countless hours just checking out old photos, reading newspaper articles, etc.

For those of you that are up on WA history, Lawrence Denny Lindsley was one of our first great outdoorsman, photographer, and outdoor writer. He lead one hell of a life!!!!!

Good find guys, those are always fun to look at.

No camo? No Gore-Tex? I bet they didn't use ScentLok either. How did they manage to get these animals?  :chuckle:

Seriously, those are some cool pics. I remember my grandpa telling me stories of him hunting on Kodiak Island and in N Idaho. Hopefully this fall I'll be able to get a deer with his old Remmy.
