7mm rem mag?

what grain bullets shoot best. Ive had numerous guns that certain grains work better than others. my .300mag loved 180. .270 130.  30-06 165. What about the 7mm 160?

I shoot 160's but 139gr. and up have shot the best for me in my 7mag.

I think 160's are the ideal weight for a 7 Mag. Perfect balance of velocity and ballistic coefficient to wring the most out of it.

I shoot 150 grain for both Deer and Elk in my 7mm and it has done me very well over many years of success......Les

140gr. Nosler Partition for me, elk, deer, moose etc. Its all about placement so dont get all caught up in the hype

My 7mm mag likes 140gr tipped TSX the best. I shot 120,140,150,160,175 grain bullets and it kept grouping the 140gr the tightest.

I have a heavy barreled model 70 that I have tried several bullets and loads in and have had phenomenal luck with 140-150 boattails in both nosler and speer.  Best luck with IMR 7828 at 1-3 grains under max for that bullet weight.

If I remember right, the 165gr BTSP has a ballistic coeffiecient over .500 which is awesome. very flat shooting!

not the best killing bullet but you can put it where you want at long range.

it's worked great for me.
