My 2016 buck. Watched him for a couple years. Showed up at daylight on the opener.

Love the mass.

Had opportunities at some bigger deer but still had an awesome trip with good people hunting a new area.

That is a great deer, glad you were able to share it with good people.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Thanks guys, it was a challenging hunt in that open country trying to get close. I saw him early in the morning, waited for him to bed around 10, then put a stock on and got a nice 50 yard shot on him.

My son Wyatt filled his tag on this Blacktail on Saturday evening. Since he passed hunters safety 4 years ago he has killed his buck on the first day he has been able to hunt(his opening day) 4 years in a row... The first 2 were with a rifle and the last 2 with his bow...

Good job Wyatt!  Must have great honey hole or superb hunting instincts.  Nice three point!

Nice deer so far.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

My nephew and my bucks from this year. Before/After is mine. Not the biggest bucks we've ever shot, but some great memories and cool stories to go along with. Will do a better write up after elk season .

Waiting patiently for pics! Rifle hunter here season can't come fast enough, jealous of the bow hunters

I'm taking work off all of hunting season. Can't wait to see what we get this year. I haven't scouted at all and hoping it pays off like last year with a nice big buck.
