Found a bow in the road- Yakima
« on: September 07, 2016, 07:22:35 AM »
Yesterday someone turned in a bow to the Yakima Police Department.  If it is yours give me a call or call the PD.   My number is 728-1109.  It is currently sitting at my desk but will be logged into the property room in a couple of hours.  Business phone number is 575-6200.

LET"S GET THIS BACK TO ITS OWNER!  I hate to think how someone's hunt is completely ruined right now.

Now that would stink.   I mean I have got to my hunt and not had my boots, my release, my hat, maybe even my tag once, but to get there and no bow.

I bet someone put it on the cab or something and drove off and forgot...done it with a cell phone before but not my bow.

I know someone who did it with their rifle.

I have found one bow next to a pullout on the road and left it there hoping whoever left it would come back.

My father in law left a Benelli shotgun at a pullout turkey hunting one year.  :yike: It wasn't there when he got back.  :(

Hopefully the owner of this bow gets the word that it has been turned into the police.

Thinking about putting a sticker with my name and number on my bow just in case.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Every father should remember that one day his children will follow his example instead of his advice.

Left my favorite Ithaca 20 ga bird gun on top of a Brahma canopy, right between the raised ribs.  I was driving down I-5 and remembered it and pulled into a rest stop and put it away in it's case behind the seat.  How it didn't slide off on braking and accelerating all the way to the freeway and then three miles or so down I-5 remains a mystery to me to this day.
