ok who has one and what do you think of it?Im thinking real hard on the 3 burner

Outstanding.  We have the Expedition 3X http://www.campchef.com/expedition-3x-three-burner-stove.html and a two burner griddle.  When using griddle only turn it to warm or it is too hot.  Bought it from Costco ten years ago, they only have them in the spring.  Cabela's always seems to have them.  I built a 1/4 plywood box using wheels http://www.diyroadcasesstore.com/external-corner-caster/ and corners http://www.diyroadcasesstore.com/categories/Corners/Ball-Corners/ meant for road cases.

I have the Explorer 2 burner and really like mine.  I have a single wide griddle and a BBQ box. They work really good.  The stoves themselves are a pretty good value, but I have found the accessories can be spendy at full retail.  Wait for good sales and stock up.  I would probably upgrade to the 3 burner if I had it to do over.

I have the Explorer 2 and it is awesome.  I mimic the above though; get the 3 burner.

I have the Camp Chef propane fire ring for use while camping under 'real' fire restrictions. Its great

I agree with JD they are outstanding. I have the BGG (Big Gas Grill) with the BBQ box standard. I have added the wind screen and griddle. The folding side tray will hold most 2 burner stoves. So I'm setup with 5 burners, I can take on any cooking challenge. I'm noted for my Rosemary Crusted Rack of Lamb in camp.

Love ours. We have the Expedition 3x with a 1 burner griddle and just bought the 2 burner BBQ box . The inside stove and exterior stove in our travel trailer has yet to be used since we bought the trailer 4 months ago.. Next purchase for the stove will be the adjustable leg inserts. They allow for like 2 1/2" of adjustment for leveling the stove ( as opposed to finding the perfect rocks  )

my dad cans on his 2 and 3 burner models.  much better than heating up the whole house!

Im gonna pull the trigger on the three burner with the box..199.00 right now at cabelas,I was thinking on using it for canning also,ok Im stoked again..woo hoo..

I've had my 3 burner for 12 yrs. I love it. It has never failed me. I have the double burner griddle and I still have the other burner for other uses. The double has never been too small for my camps uses.

Got my 3 burner expedition at Costco with the griddle about 8-10 years ago. It was some of the best money I ever spent. Get a 3 over a 2 for sure.
