Coyotes near Lake Chelan?
« on: September 13, 2016, 12:46:34 PM »
We live in Sequim.  My wife booked a few nights at a cabin in Echo Valley.  Area looks pretty remote on Google maps.  Should be able to drive just a few miles on old roads and be out of anyone's way.  Was thinking about bringing my gun and call, but never been east of Seattle.  Any thoughts?

I have always wanted to when I go over there with the wife and kids.  I would imagine you should have some good luck.  I saw a dead one along the road by Entiat last time I was there.
The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

Bring a bear tag if you're up in the national forest. Called my bear in from up there with a predator call.

Also need a post of your Wife's face when you take a Bear instead of a yote.  I'm guessing she wont be pleased...

Just drive up past the place you are renting...Echo is wide open from the Ski Hill up to the top...take a left and head towards Cooper Mtn or take a right and head towards Purtemann Gulch...all of it is open and full of Yotes...if you really want to try for a bear head past Cooper on the upper road towards Fox Pk and South Navarre, nice high country up there and lots of grouse too!

Chelan Buttes south of Chelan might be another place to look.
