muzzle loading for mulies in swakane unit 250
« on: June 12, 2016, 10:26:38 AM »
just wondering if any of you fellas on here have hunted swakane early for muzzle loader. i usually hunt in 204 but im thinking about switching it up this year and trying something different for a few days. probably my best bet would be to hunt the thick timber on a shady side of a hill??

I have wondered how it was too.  Probably a few local deer to hunt.

i think it would be a kick in the pants if a guy dropped down into some of those canyons and really picked them apart

I haven't done it but you have the right idea, get off of the road and into those canyons.  I am sure you will find one or two that you would like to take.  Bring a buddy, coming back up is never fun by yourself.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

ya those canyons can get deep and steep, and it always seems like a good idea for me to get all the way to the bottom sometimes lol

They kill em in early archery and they kill em in general rifle. I see no difference with a muzzy as long as you put in the work.
