Have you guys ever noticed that almost nobody shows up down there...like at all. Some days last year there were only one or two blinds being used.

Ive never hunted there before but wouldn't mind having the place all to myself.  Why would so many people put in for the lottery just to not show?  I understand life happens sometimes, but for only a couple blinds to be used?

You make the drive on one of your pick days and realize there are no birds commenting and are all landing in the no hunting side and you will realize why people don't make return trips or its empty some days. It can turn on in an hour but turn off just as fast. New birds get hunted hard the day they show up, being local helps knowing those days, and the next day the birds are smart and go where the other thousands are that are still living.

Yea, I guess that can happen anywhere, especially at refuge with so many people there.  I figured id give it a try this year and see how it goes.  3 days of driving down there for the season isn't so bad to me, so we shall see.  Thanks for the info
