cleaning barrel

Going to get my muzzle loader warmed up- wondering what to clean the bore with before/in between shooting?will windex work?

Different people like different things. I use the presoaked muzzleloader cleaning patches that come in a canister.

I would highly suggest the regular blue Windex with ammonia... Ammonia is a natural metal stripper and carries water molecules with it when it evaporates.

Here is how I make them...



Most of the pre-made patches are some form of Bore Butter which I would recommend you not use in a modern ML

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!
