Crazy start of my season. bad deer
« on: October 09, 2016, 09:55:37 PM »
Well first off the 2x1 whitetail I shot was bad. He was sick and starving. Had sores and puse in his chest and out side. Shot him Sunday the 2nd. Tagged him and hung in camp. Called PD and they left message for the game warden. The warden called me Monday the 3rd. He met me in are camp and took the buck. I was able to get another tag. The next day I tagged a nice 3x3 mule. I almost forgot we ran into a few turkey and my buddy and I filled fall tag to. We had a good trip. Some of my friends had a few misses. One other buddy filled his tag with a nice 2x3 mule but over all it was a great trip. The first pic is the bad sick whitetail. I didn't take pictures of the nasty puses.

At least you got another tag. Did the warden have anything to say about the sick one? Like if he's seen others like that or what it might be from?

Nice trade up.  Too bad for the deer. WDFW doesn't give new tags easily, I would definitely follow up with them regarding its condition.

Yeah He said this is the first year wardens could do that. Just because there were lots of sick deer last year.

Weathergirl got a second tag about six years ago.  A neighbor saw a gimpy buck so she went after it. After shooting it, we discovered it was missing it's lower front leg.  Skinned it, and yuck, smelled funny.  They said they don't usually do it very often as a "bad deer" is usually due to processing negligence.

But I can imagine some resourceful guy with a telescope equipped missle launcher mounted on his hood and getting something then jump on a snow rocket and tear the hell out of the woods stair everything else around and then yes of course getting it all on video so he can get on the yoogler facepage and let everybody see hey look at me do stuff but get a elk in the winter with a bow ?
