Just curious on what everyone is using for their Modern rifle season?  I myself am shooting my Browning A bolt .300 WSM with leuopold mark 8 scope. No bipod and a little much in the thicker brush of Capital Forrest but She is my baby, and I love her!!!

What are you guys shooting!!!!

Tikka T3 Superlite in 30-06 with a 3-10x42 Swarovski Z3. Shooting 150g Barnes TTSX.

Here it is resting on a doe Antelope I just took in Montana at 375 yards. Love this gun to death.

Remington 7400 in .30/06 I bought from a member on here. Used in the last two seasons and it has 2 deer on it.

1903 Springfield .30-06 with 6-24x44 scope. Or my Remington 700 .30-06 with 4.5-14x40 scope. Trying to get it done with the good old Springfield this season.

Winchester push feed mod 70 Winlite (factory McMillan stock) in 300 Wby w/VX3i 3.5-10 CDS.  I like it real well.  Pretty much same trajectory as my 17 Rem, 22-250 & 243 varmint rifles out to their effective range.  I shoot them a lot and it a little and that makes it easier.

Custom 30-06 on a mauser action my uncle put together 50 years ago.  Double set triggers can clover leaf the 100 yard target all day long but he could hole punch with his handloads.  Nice and light.

Very nice arsenal so far. I have my first rifle ever still that I hunt with from time to time. It's a Remington 760 30-06 pump action. My grandfather gave me one and my uncle. He still shoots his to this day. It is very trustworthy and never misses a beat. I think it is just hard for me to shoot that one regularly due to my gramps getting old and I want it to be in tip top shape forever!!!

I shoot a couple but I keep going back to my TC Encore with a .300 win mag barrel on it. Fun gun to shoot and easy to carry around.

6.8 SPC in an AR15 platform and a Remington 700 in .308.  The 6.8 is perfect for stalking and jump shooting while the .308 is nice for sitting and waiting.

As far as glass goes, the 6.8 has a Nikon Prostaff 3-9X with BDC dialed in at 200 for zero and the .308 has a Primary Arms first focal plane ACSS 4-14X.

.270 win, on a mauser action with a leupold vx1 3-9x40, shoots ragged holes at 100 yards with 140 gn SST and 58.5 gn of H4831. And a Ted Williams model 100 (Sears and Roebuck) .30-30 for those foggy days.

Just a thought guys and gals :o

With what's coming our way for the likely presidential election outcome, about the last thing I'd do is post pictures of what sort of rifles I own in a public forum.

Just my .02 worth.

Bedded synthetic stock/ 12-24" bi-pod
If hunting west side it carries a Leupold VX III 3.5-10x50 fine duplex
If east a Millett 6-25x56 illuminated mil dot.
Hand loads with 180 gr  Nosler partitions
It's not pretty but it works every time.

I've ran more than a few rifles over the years but my main gun used to be my BLR in 30-06.  Killed lots of deer with that rifle and she has seen some cool places. Been running a rem 700 in 300wsm for a few years now and this year she got a full make over.  Mike Johnson at Hells Canyon Armory worked over my action, screwed one of his 26" carbon barrels on her with a seekins brake.  Bedded in a mcmillan game scout stock.  Topped with a mrk 4 6.5-20.  Absolutely amazing rifle.  Optics, bipod, and all loaded up she comes in at 9 pounds.  Not much time to mess with load developement before season but she is consistently in the .3's.  This spring I think we can get her a bit better.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Taking into account what the upcoming election might be bringing, and stern promises to start confiscation of a variety of rifles,  :yike: I'm sad to announce on this public forum that I lost all my hunting rifles including my custom built AR15 and AR10 when our skiff overturned on Lake Chelan during last month's bear hunt.  Seems all I have left for hunting season is a muzzle loader...
And, I also lost all my 30 round mags too...
