Big Bull in Muzzy season
« on: October 17, 2016, 10:37:39 PM »
I bought a general season muzzle loader tag and planned a DYI hunt with a good friend. We would be hunting with our archery gear in the muzzle loader season, which was October 1-7 in Eastern Washington. I called this monster bull in on October 2nd, he started slow barely bugling I kept working on him with my golden dome reed and golden dome grunt tube, he got all fired up traveling over 500 yards in a couple of minutes for a 38 yard shot. I know people will ask what he scores, I quit worrying about inches 10 years ago, I only worry about the wow factor and the seconds that I work so hard for when it all comes together. I put a tape on the antlers grossing 356”. He is missing a G-2 and has a 33” inside spread. This old bull has a huge body, he deserves all the respect I can give him, a true mountain monarch. I thank God, my wife Liz, friends and family that have supported me, also all the customers that have purchased our products for the past 33 years.
