Peaches Ridge any bull tag

I will start this story off as I have never in my 19 years of hunting seen so much sign in the woods! The day before big bull started I walked to my normal take off spot up notellem Creek. First 100 feet showed sign of big bull fight. Fur scattered across tracks that took up the whole hillside. Instantly my adrenaline got going and I knew that the next day would be monumental.
Wake up the first day of big bull season....bam not 30 minutes into it there goes a spike and 3 cows. My heart started fluttering and I knew it was that magical time of year again. No shots were taken and we hunted on.
Over the next few days I had my heart stop multiple times by countless grouse flying away and deer coming out of no where to say hello. But no big bull! Today marks the 11th day of hunting in them there hills, and I'll be damned if I didn't not only NOT GET A BIG BULL I didn't even see another elk until I drove out and saw 8 elk in the pasture! Hope someone else did wonderful this season

Ouch, that is a good unit, but anyone can get skunked in any unit.

If it makes you feel better, I've only seen one branched bull during daylight hours in the Bumping.
It's like clockwork, once the light shuts off, they are running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Light turns on and it's time to go to sleep.
That's hunting for you. If it was easy, everyone would be hunting.

I've seen four bulls in the last two days. Can't find a spike though.

I seen 3 branched bulls this morning took 2 days to fill my tag should have been 1, seen elk everyday that I was over there, after my tag was punched I only went back on weekends to help the other guys in camp but everyone of them said that they were seeing elk every single day, notellum creek is not a good spot I guess, did you venture into other areas or concentrate only on the 1 area
