Check this thing out!

Cow elk shot in 139. They said the front shoulder looked like it had no muscle but it ran just like a normal elk would

WOW!  They still haven't told us why hoof rot is an epidemic now.  Their explanation is total crap to pacify the ignorant.  Treponoma bacteria is naturally occurring.  So why are elk so sick now?  Could it be MIT scientist was right, immune compromised from timber spraying practices?  So sad and its spreading everywhere they log and spray.  Winston herd is nearly wiped out.
MAGA!  Again..

Wow, in 139?  Interesting.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Well they don't think it's hoof rot. Like I said, it had an injury sometime in the past. It's shoulder was deformed and had little muscle on it I guess. One of the fish and wildlife bio's actually is who got this elk on Saturday. I stopped by his house earlier to take a pic before he takes it to Spokane to be looked at by the wild animal vet.

That is very healthy hoof, aside from its length.  Definitely not hoof rot.
An animal that is lame/injured cannot wear its hooves properly, so they keep growing.  Not sure about elk, but horses grow about 4 inches of hoof a year - they either need trims every 6-8 weeks or walking/running up to 50 miles per day, as they would in the wild, to naturally wear the hoof down.

Has hoof rot been found over there or in Idaho? Just looks to be like she wasn't using that leg for a long long time.

That looks like founder, not hoof rot.  The animal appears to have had too rich of food and succum to toenail growth.  Domesticated cattle and horses get founder regularly when their diets are off kilter.   :twocents:
