How do they work with a muzzle brake. Do you or would you cover the brake.
Tape over the brake. I just put it to the test at 420 yards and no problems at all.

Just buy a bag of cheap children's small party balloons. Roll them on like a rain coat, absolutely no effect on performance. A little cheaper then finger cots if you are worried about saving a couple $. I went that way because the balloons can be picked up almost anywhere, any time.

I'm with Jay.  I could never figure out why people did this unless they are trying to protect the bore from water.  Water getting down the bore, what little will during a rainstorm, will have no effect on accuracy.

I did it on muzzleloaders, Western WA is not a place to take any chances on getting your powder wet. Moisture can make it's way down the rifling. Also one slip in the wrong place and you can get more than just water down the drain pipe.

Black electrical tape, shoot right threw with no worries. Moisture in barrel can create rust, and rust is your enemy!

Seriously, these things are way better than tape.  And dont give me that crap about tape being cheaper, these things are 1.2 cents a piece.  Seriously, they cost a penny.  http://m.ebay.com/itm/720-Finger-Cots-NON-Powder-SMALL-Latex-Fingertips-Protective-/232116084045?hash=item360b325d4d%3Ag%3AxmoAAOSwH71XO29K&_trkparms=pageci%253Aaf2da40d-a6a4-11e6-8eaa-74dbd1809ff8%257Cparentrq%253A4a3451611580a605a4cb59c6ffff1b41%257Ciid%253A4

They break way to easy in the brush.  Hunting partner gave me one in CO this year.  Lasted maybe two days then I went back to my electrical tape.
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.

That's what I'd worry about in brush. They definately are not as tough as electrical or duct.

Electrical tape. Put a bunch of extra raps around the barrel for after the shot. Then you have extra ready to retape the hole.

Wouldn't gorrila tape be so strong it would rip the end off the barrel before it would let loose  with a bullet passing. ?? :)

Why would I take the time to order or go buy these, when I have rolls of electrical tape in every drawer of my house, every backpack, and every vehicle I own?
I tape my barrel for water and anything else that might get down the bore.
