Nice Birthday Buck Down!

    So today November 12th, I dropped this beautiful 4×4 Whitetail buck! My cousin Jeremy, his twins Jlada, Andre and I got to one of our spots about 6:45 am. Jlada came with me on the high side and Jeremy and Andre took the creek bottom. Jlada and I still hunted our way to a deep canyon. Just before we got over the top I saw a good basket racket buck on the run but no shot ! I told Jlada lets head that direction and set just over the top looking down into the canyon. About 7:55am Jlada spoted something walking below. I threw up my Nikon Prostaff 10×42s and immediately see it is a shooter buck😱! I raised my rifle and settled the crosshairs on the bucks front sholder as he was walking broadside down the trail at 203 yards. I slowly squeezed the trigger and WHACK, the buck was hit hard! He stumbled through the brush and made it about 15 yards closer to us, the buck was now facing us directly face on. I centered the crosshairs dead center on his chest and slowly squeezed again, WHACK!!!!! The deer stumbled into the thick draw. I made it down to the last place I shot and blood was everywhere. He made it about another 35 yards and expired their. I used my Remington 770 in 30-06, with Remington Core-Lokt 180 grain PSP's. It was a tough year for me, and this buck was well earned. This was shot on public land with many other hunters in the area. This makes 22 years in a row I have harvested a deer in the great state of Washington. I am very proud of this personal record, and happy to keep my streak alive. I green scored 131 3/8" God is so good, and truly blessed me on my 34th birthday today!🎉🎁💥🔫🏆🍻

    Yes I sure was going to. With college and work I only had time to hunt the weekends for deer this season. I still have never harvested a blactail buck! Still one I need to check off the list for sure. I hope to learn of some decent spots to hunt blactail in this next off season to come.

Nailed it! That's the spot.  Years ago no one hunted up their before they logged it. My family has taken many good bucks up in that area especially my father.
