This should make a young man happy for Christmas!
« on: December 22, 2016, 12:25:40 PM »
I don't know who is going to be happier when my son opens this present.  As I mounted ths scope and gave it one final wipe down, I was overcome with JOY!!

Merry Christmas and thanks for looking, had to share my excitement beings we don't open presents till tomorrow (I work Christmas day).

Ruger 10/22 walnut checkered stock
Leupold 2-7x33 fine duplex scope
Nice leather sling with deer emblem on it
Two 10 round mags (he doesn't need extended yet)
It will be wrapped in a nice Allen gun soft case

For the record....I bought an identical rifle for myself LOL.  I don't have a scope on mine yet, but have a few laying around.  Now I guess we will be spending plenty of hours at the range.

Nice.

I remember buying our son his first rifle, a .17 HMR from Kesselrings for Christmas one year.

Nice. My dad gave me the same rifle as my first way back when. Your boy is going to love it.

Heck ya buddy.  Fun times ahead for you and the boy.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
