Book Recommendation for new Canon DSLR user???
« on: February 16, 2009, 08:54:53 AM »
I know almost everything is online these days, but I tend to learn better with something I can hold, read, and reread.  Any books you guys would recommend?  Not just wildlife photography, but photography in general.

This should answer all the basic questions without going too over the top right away :twocents:

No offense taken Rob.   :P  I am so used to shooting video that this is a new world for me.  That book is more descriptive than you know.   ;)

I agree with huntnphool the dummies guides are probably the best beginer books for almost ANYTHING if they have a book for it.  Start with that and then head online if you have questions there are tons of great photography forums.

I learned from Joe McDonald and John Shaw books.  I think they have newer versions for digital now and would look to those authors.  I know Shaw came to Seattle recently and did a 2 day photo workshop.  I've done those and they are very worthwhile.
