I know how you feel Mallard.  I am a upland guy.  In the Orchard behind my house, starting about 2 weeks ago, I now have a pack of rogue quail and 1 huge pheasant rooster living just on the other side of the fence.  I am not sure if they are picking on me, or the dog.

Quail seem to be abundant this year, last year we had about 20, now i bet  there's over 50 in my yard
