Anybody heading up to the pass forTHE HIGH HUNT? Great area with little to no pressure from hunters. We've been up there multiple  times through the years and always came out with a great experience!

Am I missing something? This looks like somebody advertising their high hunt spot, which I never thought I'd see on here.

It's probably a decoy. Wretched hike and no deer once you get to the top.

It's a good spot, I like to set a tree stand right at the top for the deer that are traveling over

Last time a saw a post like this was a couple years back. A guide went scorched earth over an area in the Sherman surrounds and gave line and verse on where to hunt in there.  Some people we in "their" spot and so he decided to make it a jamboree for the next season.

Cloudy Pass...the Snotel site at Lyman Lakes just below Cloudy Pass has 154 inches of snow (that's almost 13 ft of snow) right now...and the area burned two years ago. With no vegetation to hold back spring run-off and trees being uprooted (and the trail is often the run-off route as it's next to the creek) all I can say is "Good Luck with That!"

Isn't there multiple " cloudy passes " in washington guys....
Hadn't checked this board in months and this is what I come back to ?
Although who the hell blows up a high hunt spot, sounds like theres going to be alot of seattle and bellevue hunters googling cloudy pass and unfortunately there going to zero in on Lyman lakes. Better bring your bear mace and .45s because the bears and cougars outnumber the hikers 2-1. Better yet pack everything you can ( you'll need at least 70lbs of gear ) and shoot one of the many monster bucks lurking up there and then pack all your **** back out the 14 plus miles it takes to get in there with an additional 60-80 lbs of deer meat on your back.

Yeah, a little bit of sarcasm injected there.

It always amuses me how people brag on the internet about their secret spot that is already pretty well known because of the internet.  Maybe it's just a vicious cycle nowadays.

There are still a few good untouched areas out there.  And by untouched, I mean not posted on the interwebs.  You will still run into your neighbors mid-season here and there, but those you run into will have earned it by burning boot leather, not by sitting in front of a computer.
