WTF Rainier Archery...

I go into Rainier to get my string reserved/ new d-loop. I get it back dloop is superglued backwards on my bow so when i draw back my string twists horribly, then I throw a level on my string and arrow wouldn't ya know my nock point which is served into the string is now way out of level.$20 for a *censored*ty job. Anyways while I'm waiting for my bow, my buddy buys the new Alphamax 35 from them(they had it cheaper than anywhere else). He brings his bow over, I go to draw it back and the f***ing d loop unties while I punch myself in the face. I look over the bow and notice that the drawstop peg is supposed to correspond to the cam mod. They put the peg in the e hole while he has xr3c mods on his bow(not good at all)! then I notice that the sts is not touching the string, and it is completely loose! Then he goes to shoot after he takes it back and "gets it fixed" the first shot is way off, hmmm... take a look and the WB they installed is about to fall of the bow b/c it is loose. I can't believe the crap service they sell and how they are still in business. If I were ever to buy something from them again it would be a bare bow b/c of the price and nothing more, the less they touch it the better! Anyone else ever had a problem with this shop?

I was waiting for Phool to come on and say that!!!  This topic has been beaten to death before   I for one have not had the greatest service there but maybe not as bad as some others. It seems more people have had bad luck with him than have had good ... I wish they would treat all thier customers great, It seems Joe picks and chooses who he is going to give his best service to ... it's a shame because he looses business doing so. Read away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only is this bad service, it is down right dangerous! A d loop not tied properly is very dangerous and to have an arrow rest loose is also dangerous. These bows are weapons designed to kill and to set them up half ass is taking someones life in your hands. I really hope this shop changes it's ways.

This is why every archer should learn to tune and service their bows themselves.  Re-serving and tieing on a d loop is so easy that after you have done it you won't believe you thought of paying someone to do it.  Go to youtube and search for videos on it.  Their are some really great tips on there. 

About the only thing you should need to take your bow to a shop for is string and cable replacement if you don't have access to a bow press.

I shop for bows on ebay.  You will find the best deals on there or on archerytalk.com's classifieds.  Buy a bare bow and do it yourself.

Joe is one of the reasons I learned how to do my own work...my experiences are very similar to yours.  About the only consistency I found in his shop was poor service and arrogance.

He does have a couple decent guys working for him, I'm assuming that's why he still gets the support he has?
