Well, the Camaro project got a lot more expensive this year. Bought new Hedman Hedders for her, went to start the prep of having a new exhaust system put in today. Got both old headers off and noticed there are 2 different heads on the motor. Passenger side has round ports, drivers side is square port. Going to yank the motor this week and begin tear down to make sure nothing else was done improper, but don’t have high hopes. Going to end up doing aluminum heads, bigger cam, and probably have cylinders honed, new bearings and gaskets all the way around. Figure if I’m going to start tearing into it might as well go all the way! Headers look good though
Resurrecting an old thread... I'm excited about my new project , 1964 galaxie 500 XL convertible. 53k miles, original except a newer top. 390fe was rebuilt but not finished, not seized up but needs plumbed and wired.
