When will the applications be available?

They aren't listed here:

Most likely early next week. The Commission meets this week to aoprove the proposed seasons and permits.

:yeah:I'm thinking you may be right, who would expect the simple multi draw would take so long.  My confidence level is very low.

I see the state loosing lots of revenue in the next 5-10 cause of the permit point system.  I am down to a few permits and will cut the family this year back too. I'm done spending 100$ per person in permits to draw nothing. Waste of money, settling on hunts that are mediocre and areas you don't ever go, cause that's the only permit  options given.  If you bull hunt the westside, might as well not even put in.

Amen to this!!!!  As people actually draw and then go out on an excited hunt that ends up sucking half the time they will not re-enter the madhouse!!!  I stopped putting my kids and family in for a lot of special permits.  Cost will keep soaring out of control.  with the point creep, your odds of Moose, sheep, and goats is going down every year no matter how many points you have.  Money better spent in other states if you ask me!  Thank heavens I have a great general deer spot in this state.  If I ever loose that im done with Washington for good!

I wouldn't recommend doing this.  Until the new regs come out, you're not going to know for sure that your hunt #'s are correct.
I remember a member did this a few years back and the hunt #'s changed. With the potential for severely decreased permit numbers, I'd wait till the newest reg's come out.

Ya I agree. I'm definitely going to wait but I just find it funny that the WDFW made the permits available today for essentially no reason other than trying to make it seem like they're ready when they're clearly not.

Yes, my donation was the $202 I paid for my licenses, Discover pass, and applications. They won't be getting another penny out of me. Well, they might, but only if I draw a moose tag.

Got multi season deer and elk purchased as well as a number of special permit apps. Throw in turkey tags and spring bear apps, dang state has me for near $700 for hunting alone!!! :bash:

Well with the new system you can go online and edit your choices any time before the deadline so if they do chamge the hunt #'s it would be simple to change your selection

Question regarding points...

I am a MF hunter, and let's say I have 4 points for Bull Elk.
If I switch to Archery, do those points then apply for my archery permits going forward, or do I have to start over at 0?

Rookie question, just one I've never considered/bothered to ask...
For Pete's sake...pick up your feet, man!

You will keep the points no matter what weapon you choose.  Only way to lose them is if you draw a tag.
