Got them today, they look better than the Bushnell ones.

I finally got one of these cameras set up last weekend. I'm definitely happy with it considering it was only $19.99. I didn't get that many pictures yet, but did get a few. The problem was the darn elk moved it at some point so it was no longer pointed at the trail. Mostly what I got were close ups. The regular daytime pictures in color look pretty decent. I'll post a few. The first one is me walking away after I got it set up. The next picture of the elk is the only one I got before the camera was moved. I'll try to check it again Sunday evening and hopefully I'll get some better pictures then. I may decide to move it to a different tree if I can find one that will work where they're less likely to rub up against the camera, as elk always seem to like to do.

They seem to hold up well in a bear attack.

I wouldn't be surprised to have a bear chew on my camera. I had one camera out there a couple years ago that a bear tried to pull off the tree. It wasn't able to break the strap so the camera hung on, but the hinges were broken, or at least bent to where the camera was no longer waterproof. Luckily it was a Tasco that i had only paid $40 for
SkyBuster- was that your camera?

Guys, Get yourselves some of these mounts. They can screw in if the cam has a camera hotshoe mount on bottom.
Slate River EZ cam mount
If your cam does not have screw in ability, you can buy a double sided tape plate as well.
EZ Aim and stick adapter
Then get yourself 3-4 climbing steps:
Ameristep Step up tree steps.
Then climb up the tree a few feet with the steps and then screw the EZ mount in just above your head level (so can still reach and turn on cam and aim it). Turn it on, climb back down and remove your steps and on to the next spot.
That will get them up in the tree and harder for tampering by 4 or 2 legged varmints...

Yes, I bought 3, I haven't checked the other 2 since I put them out. But the chewed on camera seemed to work fine after I put the batteries back in.

I can't get mine to work at night.
But the day photos are better than the bushnells.

Checked this camera again tonight. Got a few more decent pictures. I also have the Bushnell out that was $24.99 and I'm liking it a bit better. For one thing it does bursts, while the WGI only takes one picture at a time, with a 15 second delay. I have the Bushnell set to take 3 shot, and I believe I have the delay set at 10 seconds. So obviously it just gets more pictures. Still not 100% sure though. I turned the WGI 180 degrees hoping that perhaps the lighting will be better. I noticed this evening that the sun was shining directly into the camera, which isn't good. At least the elk didn't rub up against it and move it this time.
Boss 300 win mag- I'm beginning to wonder if my camera isn't working at night. So far I have no night pictures. There are a few just around sunset where it was dark enough that it went into IR mode. But nothing during complete darkness, which is odd. Are the elk just not moving at night?
