What tatical gear do you use for hunting?
« on: May 02, 2017, 09:13:08 AM »
cross over gear?  I'm not talking about old surplus military camo you might find on a homeless dude but high end stuff to compete with Sitka, KUIU and the like.

All that is overrated. Generally I wear a regular sweatshirt which is usually black or camo and a pair of wranglers. During archery season ill end up wearing my extra set of the woodland cammies.

Not sure I'd call it overrated if you're using it where you need it.
If you're on a mountain top and it starts downpouring, I hope you don't get wet. When you're cold and wet, hypothermia sucks.

For the price of those pants, you can get almost a pair and a half of the same style Sitka pants with a waterproof butt and knees, no Velcro and optional knee pads.

$263 for a pair of pants? They'd better come with a camp woman or no way.

I shot my buck last year wearing Muck boots and a dress shirt (took the tie off though) on a quick after work hunt.  I'm much more likely to wear old surplus camo you'd find on a homeless guy than I am $300 pants.

Can you get loin cloths with the protective cup insert? I bet those are pricey!

Just go commando but watch out for ticks
