There are non motorized access permits still available. Might be better than nothing. Only $50.

Lots of Sierra Pacific land on south side. Have to walk in or bicycle. If you get one their security guy will haul it out if you call them

300...is hoof rot prevalent throughout the whole unit? I've been in the Coweeman where there are lots of animals with hoof rot, but last year when in Willapa I didn't see any animals with hoof rot (of course I didn't see a lot of animals to start with). I guess the question is what areas are working in?

Thanks,
LF

Some state land out of east valley. seirra land mainly in ryderwood, hancock/campbell in willipa on the south end. hancock is mainly all walk in but no permit needed. ive seen the hoof rot reach the ryderwood area but have yet to see in willipa where i hunt, took my cow late last year and whole heard she was with not a single limper. your best access will be to hunt in the southern side of unit like stated

Weyco security will do the same as long as he's free to come get it. He told me it may take him an hour or 2 to get there but would come haul it out

Hoof rot is in both I've seen it in the southern half of 506 and seen it outside of castle rock in ryderwood. Never been to the northern half of 506 or other end of the Ryder wood unit but o would expect similar amounts of hoof rot.
