Elk numbers are not as good as 2007. We were lucky to see 2 or 3 elk a day in 2015 on the first tag. I think that was in part that they do allow cow hunters and the guy who haf the tag had a truck load guys pushing the trees and had them pretty pressured up the later tags probably did better.
Excuse me, but if they had a "truckload of guys pushing the trees", how is that not party hunting?

One of the quality permits or was it The first bull permit in November?

Buddy shot a 350 bull in archery season, opening day last year. But you need to get permission before you apply. The email address is in the hunting regulation. They will not allow cow hunts.
I have heard that the tree farm has been sold. The elk hunting area is getting smaller as they are harvesting the trees that are currently planted. The new owners are not planning on using the land for trees. As the mature trees are being harvested, new trees are not being planted. This is just what I have heard. Anyone else hear anything on this to confirm this rumor or to debunk it??? I know they are still allowing hunting this year and yes, you do have to get permission before you apply or you will be out of luck.
Boardman tree farm or Greenwood Resources was bought by AgriNorthwest. I believe AgriNorthwest is owned/affiliated with the mormon church. A lot of it has already been converted to pivots. I dont belive it has anything to do with the burbank tree farm.
